Redskins Vs. Rams Final Score: Washington Goes Down In St. Louis, 31-28

The Washington Redskins were defeated by the St. Louis Rams in Week 2 of NFL action on Sunday, 31-28. A skim of the stat sheet shows that third down efficiency was one of the differences in this game, as the Rams were able to convert in jams more often than the Redskins.

The Redskins faced 13 third down attempts, converting on just four of them, with the Rams coming out successful in seven of their 12 third down situations.

Washington led 28-23 at the end of three quarters, but St. Louis was driving down the field and scored to start the fourth. Not only did the Rams take the lead with a touchdown, but they also converted on a two-point conversion to ensure that a field goal would not beat them if it came down to it.

Robert Griffin III was not the same brilliant player he was in the Redskins' season opener against the New Orleans Saints last week, this time going 20-29 passing for 206 yards, a touchdown and an interception. There was also this:
