The Washington Redskins have signed DL Doug Worthington and LB Markus White to take the roster spots of the injured Adam Carriker and Brian Orakpo.

The Washington Redskins signed DE Doug Worthington and LB Markus White to its active roster on Tuesday. The two additions will replace the roster spots of DE Adam Carriker and LB Brian Orakpo who were both placed on injured reserve, officially ending their seasons. Both starters were injured in Sunday's loss to the St. Louis Rams with a torn quadriceps tendon and torn pectoral muscle respectively.

Worthington was a member of the Redskins' practice squad, where he spent the majority of the 2011 season. White, a 2011 draft pick of the Redskins spent last season on the Washington roster, but only appeared in two games. He was waived on Aug. 31 and signed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad on Sept. 3.

The Redskins signed DL Dominique Hamilton to the practice team to take the spot left open by Worthington.

Washington will host the Cincinnati Bengals in their first home game of the season at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
