Brad Mills-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Redskins were missing a few important faces at practice on Thursday. Some may still play on Sunday, others likely won't.

Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams was absent from practice on Thursday as he works his way back from a knee injury suffered against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 3. Head coach Mike Shanahan still says there is a chance for Williams to play on Sunday, according to the Washington Times.

Cornerback Cedric Griffin also sat out on Thursday as he battles a hamstring injury. Griffin was knocked out of the Redskins' game against the Bengals late in the first quarter and did not return.

Three players were limited for the Redskins, including wide receiver Brandon Banks, who was hampered by a hip injury. Safety Brandon Meriweather and running back Evan Royster are both dealing with knee ailments and didn't fully participate in practice.

The Redskins travel south to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Raymond James Stadium on Sunday. The kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on FOX. Both teams are looking to reach .500 on the season.
