Redskins Vs. Saints: Washington Pulls Off Stunner, 40-32

Robert Griffin III had a debut to remember with 320 passing yards and two touchdowns, and fellow rookie Alfred Morris rushed for 96 yards and a pair of scores to lead the Washington Redskins to a 40-32 win over the New Orleans Saints Sunday at the Superdome.

Drew Brees threw three touchdown passes, but also a key interception late in the game, and the Saints' defense was exposed repeatedly by the fleet-footed, strong-armed Griffin.

Washington (1-0) racked up 464 yards of total offense, reminding fans of Griffin's high-scoring offense at Baylor as he carried it over to the pros for at least one week.

Washington lost wide receiver Pierre Garcon to a foot injury in the first quarter after he caught an 88-yard touchdown, and later special teams player Jordan Bernstine was carted off the field with a right knee sprain. Devery Henderson left the game in the third quarter after taking a hard hit following a catch.
