Wizards Vs. Grizzlies: Darrell Arthur Sparks Memphis, Which Leads 59-50

Stay connected for news and updates

The Washington Wizards have allowed the Memphis Grizzlies to create a little separation going into the half. The Grizzlies scored the last four points of the half and lead 59-50.

Just like no one predicted, Darrell Arthur has gone off. The third-year forward from Kansas came off the bench for 17 points (on 7 of 9 shooting), three rebounds and two assists. Zach Randolph has also been able to beast inside, especially with the Wizards missing JaVale McGee due to illness. Randolph has 12 points and nine rebounds.

In general, the Wizards have been allowing Memphis easy chances on defense, and the Grizzlies have taken advantage, shooting 54 percent from the field in the first half.

Nick Young got to the line a couple of times down the stretch in the second quarter and John Wall hit a three with less than a minute to go to keep the game within striking distance. Now we'll see if the Wizards have enough in the tank to fight back into this game.
