Andray Blatche gave an odd interview with The Mike Wise Show on 106.7 The Fan earlier this morning, and in it, he admitted that his workout routine, whatever it is, hasn't been working. Given the way his body looks, that seems like an obvious point, but it's weird to hear it coming from a professional athlete.
"I lift. When I do lift, I'm the type of person where I don't see results at all," he said. "I've tried everything. I got a chef so I could start getting as healthy as I could eat, but I don't know what it is. I'm trying."
That's right: he really said his workout routine isn't delivering any results. It sounds like the guy was looking for sympathy, which I'm sure nobody will give, especially after Blatche admitted later in the interview that he never heard of the P90x home fitness routine.
In fitting with that theme, Blatche also admitted he was a "finesse" player and said he was doing a "great job" defensively, despite visual evidence to the contrary. Has a professional athlete ever admitted he was a "finesse" player? I've never seen it, that's for sure, but maybe I'm wrong.
