It's been a while since Nick Young truly dunked on someone. Once upon a time, Young was one of the league's newest high flyers and a legitimate candidate to be in the Slam Dunk Contest. But in the last few years, Flip Saunders has removed some of that flash and added substance that has now made Young one of the better shooters in the league.
So as weird as it sounds, this play by Young comes as somewhat of a surprise. Sure, he still has the athleticism, but this isn't really his game anymore. I guess the Bucks thought so too, and declined to get over to cut him off quickly enough. When that happened, Young simply rose up and put Ersan Ilyasova on a poster.↵
I guess one could argue that Young dunked around Ilyasova rather than on him, which takes a little bit away from the play. But given that Young just doesn't do this nearly as much anymore, I think we can cut him a little bit of slack and exaggerate it
