The Washington Wizards have selected Czech Jan Vesely with the sixth pick in the 2011 NBA Draft.

Wizards fans had wondered from the moment that the NBA Draft Lottery concluded who the team would select to hopefully add to Washington's rebuilding effort that has centered around point guard John Wall.

Now they know, as Vesely is brought into the fold to add  the team's front court which certainly needs plenty of help.

Vesely, who is 6 foot 11 and 240 pounds, has a reputation of having a high motor and bringing a high energy to the court, as he is viewed as a European Blake Griffin of sorts.
