During a Monday interview, Dallas Mavericks guard and former Washington Wizard Deshawn Stevenson praised Miami Heat stars LeBron James and Dwyane Wade for their on-court acting ability during the 2011 NBA Finals. According to Stevenson, the two do a good job of accentuating fouls to attract a whistle from the referee.
Of course, the former Wizard wasn't exactly complimenting his opponents. Stevenson has a long history of distaste for LeBron dating back to the superstar's years with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The two never liked each other when LeBron's Cavs were beating Stevenson's Wizards in the playoffs in 2006, 2007 and 2008, to the point that LeBron's friend Jay-Z wrote a diss-track about Stevenson. It appears nothing has changed, despite Stevenson's statements to the contrary.
Stevenson doesn't have nearly as much of a past with Wade, who did not seem to appreciate his opponent's comments. When told of Stevenson's words, Wade said, "No, I have no comment on that. We'll talk about that at the end of the series."
