The Washington Wizards continue their preseason on Wednesday night with a game north of the border against the Raptors. It's the club's fifth preseason game, and the priority through the month of October has been to get the roster healthy in preparation for the Oct. 30 opener. The general health of the team seems to be progressing in the right direction, even including John Wall, who went through workouts on Tuesday at the Air Canada Centre. It's also likely that Chris Singleton and Trevor Booker will return to the lineup against the Raptors, as Randy Wittman continues to experiment with the front line rotation.
The Raptors are still working to incorporate some newcomers to their 2012-13 roster, with all eyes on 2011 lottery pick Jonas Valanciunas. The Lithuanian big man had 11 points in 29 minutes against the Pistons on Friday, and Dwyane Casey will likely continue to feed the big man and work him out in the preseason. It will be particularly interesting to see Valanciunas match up against Jan Vesely, who was taken one spot after him by the Wizards. The addition of Valanciunas slides the sharpshooting Andrea Bargnani over to the power forward position, where he'll continue to stretch the floor for the Raps. Terrence Ross and Landry Fields are two other new faces in Toronto who will likely see a lot of action against the Wizards on Wednesday night.
Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Toronto, and the game will not be broadcast on television, so tune in to SB Nation DC and Bullets Forever for your postgame notes.
