Pacers vs. Wizards: Game time, TV schedule and more

Geoff Burke-US PRESSWIRE

The Washington Wizards only lost by four in their last game against the Indiana Pacers, and will try to get their first win of the year when the matchup shifts to their home court.

The Washington Wizards have a chance to grab their first win of the season when they face the Indiana Pacers after having come up four-points short in the last game between the teams.

Wizards fans are starting to get tired of coming close over and over again. Of their eight losses in eight games, seven have come by 10 points or fewer. One of those close defeats came at the hands of the Pacers, who beat Washington 89-85 in Indianapolis on Nov. 10. That game, the Wizards were able to hold the Pacers' frontcourt in check, holding Roy Hibbert and David West to a combined 18 points on 31 shots, but Paul George had 20 and the Wizards collapsed late after holding a five-point lead near the start of the fourth quarter.

Since, the Pacers have lost three of four and continue to struggle offensively without Danny Granger. Their 93.7 points per 100 possessions is second-worst in the league -- second-worst, of course, only to the Wizards. They only mustered 76 points Sunday afternoon against New York. If the Wizards can make shots late against an equally offensively-challenged Pacers squad, they might be able to get into the wins column.

The game is set for a 7 p.m. start Monday and will be televised on Comcast SportsNet MidAtlantic
