In perhaps their best game of the season, the Washington Wizards lit up the scoreboard in defeating the Portland Trail Blazers, 124-109, on the road. Nick Young was on fire in leading the Wizards with 35 points, while John Wall scored 29 and Jordan Crawford had 21 points.
Washington shot a scorching 60 percent from the field in the win and hit nine of 17 three-pointers, with Young hitting seven of eight. The Blazers kept fighting back to try to make it a game, but Young, Wall and Crawford kept hitting shots to keep the Blazers at bay.
Washington moves to 7-22 on the year, while Portland falls to 15-14. The Blazers were forced to play without star LaMarcus Aldridge, who left the game after turning his ankle very early in the first quarter.

The Washington Wizards are 2-10 on the road this season. They'll look to make that record just a little bit better on Tuesday night as they visit the formidable Portland Trail Blazers, who are an impressive 11-3 when playing at home.

The Wizards are coming off a decisive win over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday. After a hot start to the shortened 2011-12 NBA season, the Trail Blazers have lost three of their last four games and four of their last six. The Wizards will hope to keep the momentum rolling after their big win in Detroit as their five-game road trip rolls on.

Coming off a solid win over the Detroit Pistons over the weekend, the Wizards travel to Portland for a late matchup with the Trail Blazers on Tuesday night. The game starts at 10 pm and can be seen on CSN and NBA TV.
The Trail Blazers are not one of the elite teams in the Western Conference, but they are a very solid bunch and would probably rank in the top four teams if they played in the East. They are led by LaMarcus Aldridge, a player that the Wizards will have a very difficult time containing. Their ability to slow him down will go a long way to determining how successful they will be in the game tonight.

The Washington Wizards somehow scored 124 points to beat the Portland Trail Blazers in Portland on Tuesday night, in a game nobody could have predicted. The loss of Blazers superstar LaMarcus Aldridge had a lot to do with it, but that alone can't explain how the league's second-worst offense lit up the league's fourth-best defense on its home floor.
Afterwards, the Wizards celebrated in style. Thanks to @cjzero for both of these GIFs.
