Nene recorded a double-double in his Wizards debut and Jordan Crawford led all scorers with 23 points as Washington defeated New Jersey 108-89 Wednesday evening at the Prudential Center in Newark.
The Wizards task was made easier by the ejection of New Jersey point guard Deron Williams, who received two quick technical fouls for arguing with an official over a potential foul that was not called. After Jordan Crawford made the two technical foul shots to make the score 74-64, New Jersey head coach Avery Johnson also received two quick technicals and an early exit for complaining about Williams' expulsion. Crawford added two more foul shots to make the score 76-64.
Nene finished the night with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Roger Mason Jr. added 16 points and John Wall and Kevin Seraphin chipped in 12 points apiece.
For New Jersey, Williams scored 17 points before his ejection, while Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace and Anthony Morrow each scored 13 points for the hosts.
