Jordan Crawford scored 32 points as the Wizards took the lead in the third quarter and held off a late rally to defeat the Milwaukee Bucks 121-112 at the Verizon Center Wednesday night.
After trailing 62-60 at halftime, the Wizards scored the first seven points of the third quarter to take a 67-62 lead. Washington went on to expand their margin to as much as 12 points, and led 100-89 with just over seven minutes to go in regulation. However, Milwaukee scored the next seven points to cut the margin to 100-96. A Brandon Jennings three-pointer cut the Milwaukee deficit to 112-109 with 1:14 to go, but Crawford nailed a three-pointer on the ensuing possession to essentially seal the win.
Five other Wizards joined Crawford in double figures, with Kevin Seraphin, John Wall, and Nene each scoring 14 points, James Singleton scoring 11 points and Chris Singleton scoring 10.
Monta Ellis led all Milwaukee scorers with 31 points. Jennings added 25 points and Drew Gooden scored 21.
