As rumors continue to swirl that the Washington Wizards would take Kentucky's Michael Kidd-Gilchrist with the No. 3 overall pick in this month's NBA Draft, the Wizards continue to host workouts for particularly promising draft prospects. On Monday, the team hosted Connecticut's Andre Drummond, a big man from a school that's better known for producing quality two-guards (Ray Allen, Rip Hamilton, etc.).
As is the custom, the media was kept from seeing Drummond until the very end of his workouts. They were let in just in time for the free throw shooting session, and boy, did they see ... something.
Drummond bricked one FT so badly that he said to himself, 'Aww Hell Naw' after it clanged off the backboard.— Kyle Weidie (@Truth_About_It) June 18, 2012
Fantastic. For the record, in his one season at UConn, Drummond made just 26 of 88 attempted free throws for a success percentage of just .295.
