Everybody know that the Goodman League is the D.C. area's premier summer basketball league. But if you needed any more proof, the league is putting together the Goodman Roundball Classic, which will take place at Dr. Henry A. Wise High School in Upper Marlboro on Sunday, August 19.

The event will be a doubleheader. First, B'More Finest will meet Team Takeover in a match-up of two of the region's most prominent AAU teams, which is scheduled to tip off at 3 p.m. That will be followed by the afternoon's main event, a meeting between the Goodman Select Team and a team from "The League." (That's the NBA, if you're not up on the lingo).

The full rosters for this game haven't been announced, but just to give you an idea of who might be involved, here's a list of the NBA guys who played for Goodman last summer in their much-hyped match-up against Los Angeles' Drew League: Kevin Durant, John Wall, Tywon Lawson, Gary Neal, Tyreke Evans, Michael Beasley, DeMarcus Cousins, Josh Selby, Sam Young, Donte Green.

That should be a good time on a summer Sunday.
