2013 NBA standings: Wizards have worst record in league

A weekly update of where the Washington Wizards rank in the NBA.

The Washington Wizards (4-26) claim ownership to the worst record in the NBA.

Currently in the midst of a three-game losing streak, the team dropped their most recent contest against the Indiana Pacers (19-13, first place in the Central Division) on Wednesday night by a final score of 89-81.

In addition to being the only team in the league with a sub-.200 winning percentage, the Wizards are in dead last in the Southeast Division and trail the Miami Heat (22-8, first place in the Eastern Conference) by 18 games for the division lead.

In the rest of the Southeast, the Atlanta Hawks (20-10) trail Miami by two games for the division lead. Atlanta won their most recent contest against the New Orleans Hornets (7-25, last place in the Southwest Division) on Tuesday night and have won five of their last six games.

The Orlando Magic (12-20) are 11 games back of Miami for the Southeast lead, while the Charlotte Bobcats (8-23) are 14.5 games back.
