Chris Cooley Suffers Concussion In Washington Redskins' Loss To The Indianapolis Colts

The Redskins lost a tough game to the Indianapolis Colts, but they suffered a far bigger loss at the end of the third quarter. Tight end Chris Cooley, who leads the team in receptions, was forced to leave the game with a concussion. Coach Mike Shanahan confirmed the diagnosis in his post-game press conference, saying "just looking at him, you could tell something was wrong."

It's not clear when Cooley suffered the injury. He was on the field for the final Redskins' drive in the third quarter, but did not return to the field. If Cooley is forced to miss significant time, Fred Davis would step in.

This is especially difficult for Cooley because he suffered three concussions in college, according to Rick Maese of the Washington Post
