With the way concussions are treated around the NFL these days, even a minor one is cause for concern. That probably explains why Redskins linebacker Rocky McIntosh was held out of practice with a minor concussion. Mike Shanahan said the injury occurred on Monday, and the team will evaluate the symptoms day by day.
Via Barry Svrluga of the Washington Post:
"Just felt something on Monday, just a slight headache," Shanahan said. "Hopefully there's nothing very serious. We'll go through the symptoms and evaluate it day by day."
Losing McIntosh would be a blow, because of the things he does at linebacker.
