Ricky Dobbs May Miss Navy's Next Game With A Mild Concussion

Over the past few weeks, the Navy football team has put up a lot of points. They dropped 76 on East Carolina and also blitzed Notre Dame in a win a few weeks back. But the key to that offensive attack, Ricky Dobbs, may be missing when Navy takes on Central Michigan this Saturday.

Dobbs is apparently still feeling the effects of a mild concussion suffered in the game against East Carolina. He did not practice for the third straight day yesterday, and coach Ken Niumatalolo said he doesn't think Dobbs will start. Via Gene Wang of the Washington Post:

"We're probably leaning a little more towards [backup Kriss] Proctor," Coach Ken Niumatalolo said. "We'll kind of see. At this point I'm thinking if [Dobbs] does play, it might be in a reserve role."

Proctor has relieved Dobbs in two games this year: against East Carolina and also against Louisiana Tech earlier in the year. He told Wang that his preparation doesn't change, whether he is starting or not. As of right now, it looks like he's certainly start, and likely finish too.
