Capitals Vs. Sabres: Washington Goes Up Against Ryan Miller And Buffalo

New, 1 comment

Last season, the Buffalo Sabres were one of the East's top teams, thanks primarily to their super goalie Ryan Miller. Miller, who became famous for his performance in the 2010 Winter Olympics, was the NHL's best goalie last year.

This season, however, Miller has been banged up, and the Sabres have floundered, with just 13 points. Miller makes his return to the ice after six games tonight, and the Washington Capitals just so happen to be the opponent. The Capitals will look for their seventh straight win against Miller and the Sabres tonight.

Prior to his injury, Miller was struggling. He is just 3-5 this season, with a .903 save percentage. Washington's high-powered offense therefore may have an opportunity tonight.

The Capitals will give Braden Holtby his second start of the season tonight, allowing Michal Neuvirth to have a breather. Holtby won his first start of the season last Sunday against the Philadelphia Flyers
