Tulane Vs. Georgetown: Hoyas Play At Home For First Time This Season

Amid all the Donovan McNabb chatter, in a tiny corner tucked away from the hype surrounding this Washington Redskins-Philadelphia Eagles Monday Night Football matchup, the No. 20 Georgetown Hoyas will have their home opener. Tonight, the Hoyas will take on Tulane at the Verizon Center. Tip time is at 7 p.m.

The Hoyas are coming off a gritty 62-59 victory on the road against an outstanding Old Dominion team. Chris Wright had 19 points, Jason Clark added 18 and Austin Freeman had 17, as the Hoyas were able to escape an Old Dominion buzzer-beater attempt. The win snapped Old Dominion's 23-game home winning streak.

Tonight's game should be much easier. Tulane may be in a power-ish conference, but they are a much weaker team. Ken Pomeroy has them ranked 148th in his rankings, and they really don't have much interior depth. Georgetown may not be a strong inside team, but they have tons of talent on the perimeter that Tulane should not be able to handle. This should be an easy win for the Hoyas.
