Magic Vs. Wizards: Washington Looks To Cast Spell On Orlando

The Washington Wizards are attempting to continue with their success at the Verizon Center, where they currently hold a 6-3 record. So far, the odds of the Wizards expanding upon their three-game winning streak appear relatively slim.

The Orlando Magic have pulled ahead of the Wizards 55-43 at halftime, and have shown no intentions on slowing down.

The Wizards are without John Wall and Al Thornton tonight, both of whom are recovering from injuries. In their absence, JaVale McGee has stepped up with eight points and Gilbert Arenas with nine. Andre Blache is also in the middle of strong performance, contributing six points and seven rebounds.

It hasn't been enough thus far to stop the Magic though. Dwight Howard is expectedly leading all scorers with 14 points and six rebounds. Quentin Richardson of the Magic also added 11 points in the first half.

Washington is outrebounding Orlando 29-22, but the home team will have to do more with its chances. The Wizards are just 1-8 from behind the three-point line, and will need to improve if they want to get back in this game.
