VIDEO: John Howell Catches Longest Offensive Play In Army Navy Game History

In many ways, the 111th Army Navy Game has been historic. For one thing, Army got into the end zone for the first time since 2006. For another, the game featured a 98-yard fumble recovery by Wyatt Middleton, which we'll get to later.

But for another, the game featured the longest offensive play from scrimmage in series history. See, most of the time, these two teams are power running teams that don't pick up big plays. That's not necessarily false now, as both Army and Navy succeed with their running ability. But Navy can beat you with deep pass plays too, as you see here.

Early in the first quarter, Ricky Dobbs threw this beautiful 77-yard strike to John Howell to give Navy a 10-0 lead. That was the longest play from scrimmage in series history. Check out the video below the jump.
