A Football Team From Washington Won The (Pee-Wee) Super Bowl!

It's not the Super Bowl we want to bring back to the nation's capital, but I guess we have to start somewhere. According to the DCist, a group of 8- to 11-year-olds from Edgewood Terrace known as Beacon House won the Jr. Midget Division I national championship with a 19-0 victory over a team from Liberty City, Fla.

Beacon House rolled through the previous three rounds of the playoffs, outscoring opposition from New Jersey, Connecticut and Ohio by a combined score of 63-6.

Congratulations to the little guys. This will probably be the most success a team from the D.C. area will achieve all year long. Kinda sad, but true.
