The Washington Wizards keep getting hit with minor nicks and bruises that keep their players out for a couple games at a time. Most notably, John Wall has missed seven of the team's first 22 games with various aches and pains, and even when he has played, he hasn't looked like himself.
Now, it looks like the injury bug has bitten Andray Blatche. The Wizards' forward missed two games last week with a hip injury, and now, he is nursing an injury elsewhere. He didn't practice today, and coach Flip Saunders said he will not play on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Lakers with a left knee injury. This is via Craig Stouffer of the Washington Examiner:
Blatche has struggled this season. His per-game averages of 17.1 points and 7.7 rebounds don't look too shabby, but is shooting just 44 percent from the field and isn't getting to the line very much. He's still compensating a bit after undergoing offseason foot surgery. Perhaps his latest issues are a sign that his foot has not completely healed.
