There's no doubt that Washington Redskins kicker Graham Gano is on the hot seat after missing two short field goals in the Redskins' 17-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Gano first hit a 34-yard field goal off the upright, then pulled a 24-yard field goal wide left. Had he made just one of those kicks, the Redskins would have won the game.
So you can imagine his status with the Redskins is in a precarious position. Indeed, according to CSN's Chick Hernandez, the Redskins are bringing in four kickers for a workout on Tuesday.
Redskins bringing in 4 kickers for noon workout Tuesday. Not surprising.
This does not mean Gano will certainly be gone from the Redskins. The team holds workouts like this every Tuesday with many players at many different positions, so it's not a sure sign that they will actually sign a replacement. But it's still a troubling sign for Gano, who had won the job in training camp.
So far, 72 percent of you believe Gano should indeed be released from the team.
