The Washington Capitals have signed John Erskine to a two year extension according to Katie Carrera of the Washington Post. Financial details of the deal have yet to be released by the team.
Erskine has been a solid if unremarkable defender for the Capitals throughout his career. However, if the deal is at a reasonable number, then the Capitals have managed to retain one of the few blueliners able to provide any consistency.
