Just when you thought it couldn't get worse for the Redskins defense, it just did. According to Washington Post's Redskins Insider, the Redskins top pass rusher could be done for the season:

Ouch. For the Redskins, this would be a huge blow to a team that has already lost several key members of the defense this year, most notably Laron Landry and of course, Albert Haynesworth.

Orakpo, who had been slowed by injuries the past few weeks, has had limited impact in his last few starts. As a result, the Redskins have had an inconsistent pass rush at best, which has led to them giving up big plays to the opposition.

Orakpo leads the team in sacks and was looking to improve on his stellar rookie season from a year ago. But if he is unable to get back onto the field this season, it looks like the NFL's last place defense just got a lot worse.
