Since the Washington Wizards and Houston Rockets last met November 10, the two teams have gone in different directions. The Rockets have counteracted a rough start to win 13 games and now sit just one win shy of .500. Meanwhile, the Wizards have won five games since November 10 and still have not won a game on the road. Washington hopes to finally stop that broken record Monday in Houston.
The Wizards fell to the San Antonio Spurs 94-80 Sunday without the services of Andray Blatche and JaVale McGee, who were suspended after an altercation outside of a club Friday. John Wall returned and scored four points in just 19 minutes. Rashard Lewis led Washington with 21 points and 12 rebounds.
The Rockets have won 14 of 24 and will look to reach .500 for the first time this season. Kevin Martin leads Houston with 23.6 points per game.
