Panthers At Capitals: Semyon Varlamov Will Start In Goal

After a shocking shootout loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday night, the Capitals get back in the saddle with a home game against division foe Florida tonight at 7 p.m.  The Capitals are looking to avoid their fourth straight loss, and the mediocre Panthers are a good remedy. Florida has won two straight games, but remains a sub .500 team. Then again, Toronto wasn't very good either.

It looks likeit will be Semyon Varlamov getting the start in goal for the Capitals tonight. Coach Bruce Boudreau continues to ride whichever goalie is playing better, so now, it's Varlamov's turn. Michal Neuvirth will be the number two goalie.

The Capitals have won seven straight games against Florida, so they know how to beat this team. However, the loss to Jeff Schultz is  big blow and could affect the team going forward. Newcomer Scott Hannan will have to take on a larger role going forward.
