Bummed About The Capitals' Playoff Loss? Root For The Hershey Bears!

Sure, the Caps' season ended in heartbreaking fashion, but fear not, Caps fans: your minor league team continues to rock! (What, you're not excited?).

The Hershey Bears, who can probably be classified as a dynasty in the AHL at this point, are back in the Calder Cup Finals for the fourth time in five years after disposing of the upstart Manchester Monarchs in Game 6 last Saturday. The Monarchs finished 28 points behind the Bears in the regular season, but challenged the Bears with stifling defense and great goaltending. Sound familiar? It should. The only difference is Hershey won the close games and found a way to move on.

Hershey will now face the winner of the Western Conference Finals series between Hamilton and Texas. Hamilton leads the series 3-2, with Game 6 slated for Monday night.
