Watching Stephen Strasburg Is As Great As Childbirth

New, 1 comment

When Stephen Strasburg was in college, he spent the summer of 2007 pitching for the Torrington Twisters of the New England Collegiate Baseball League, and taking up residence with Mary Beth and Brett Lefevre. As reported by Timothy Gaffney of the Register Citizen, Strasburg wasn't the first ball player temporarily adopted by the Lefevres, but he's now surely the most famous.

The Lefevres were fortunate enough to sit with Strasburg's real family and friends at his MLB debut on Tuesday night. It was a pretty special moment for them

“This ranks right up there with the two other best days of my life,” Mary Beth said. “The birth of my son Ryan and the day I married Brett. I had goose bumps when he threw that first pitch.”

Proof that Strasburg continues to touch the lives of all those around him. What else would you expect from a savior?
