Christmas may only come once a year, but Strasmas comes every five days for baseball executives!
↵↵↵"We just wanted to maximize the opportunity," said Bob DiBiasio, the Indians' vice president of public relations. "It only makes sense."
↵
DiBiasio went on to say that this may be the closest his team will come to a playoff atmosphere this season, so they had to take advantage. (Kidding!)
↵Aside from the Stephen Strasburg exclusive merchadise booth, the Indians "maximized the opportunity" at the ticket booth as well. The announced attendance of 32,876 for the Indians' Sunday afternoon game against Strasburg was a 68% increase over the 19,484 that turned out to see their home team beat the Nationals on Saturday night, and a 63% increase over their average Sunday attendance of 20,142.
