An Update On The Quest To Bring The Super Bowl To DC, If You Care

I personally zone out when I read about the possibility of the Super Bowl coming to DC. Sure, it'd be great, but I won't get all excited about it until it becomes a real possibility. But that's just me.

For all of you, here's some stuff to pass along. First, Dan Snyder continues to pitch DC as a Super Bowl destination, via Redskins Blog.

#Redskins Daniel Snyder on possibility of DC Super Bowl: "I think we're ripe to get one in the future. I don't think it'll be that long."

Snyder reportedly thinks a Super Bowl will be good for the area and good for the Skins, and he's right, though his definition of "good" is probably "it'll make me more money."

Could this really happen? Peter King says yes, assuming the 2014 New York Super Bowl works out, but because it's Peter King, that declaration is probably a hunch. Ryan O'Halloran of Comcast SportsNet thinks the soonest possible year would be 2017/18, which is a ways away. Yawn. Wake me up when there's some real movement on this.
