Interesting tidbit from MASNsports.com's Ben Gossling, the man who coined the term "Clipp and Save" for the dynamic set-up man and closer duo of Tyler Clippard and Matt Capps is a former sports copy editor for the Washington Times. His name is Steve Repsher and he's actually got big fans in Capps and Clippard.
↵↵↵"Tell him thank you," Clippard said.

↵Capps also said he likes the idea..."It's kind of neat. It's a cool feeling, and something neat for your friends and family to see and to have. And for the team to think that much of you, it's a good feeling."

Good feelings all around! You know what would make me feel good? If Jim Riggleman would stop going to Clipp and Save so much when he doesn't necessarily have to. Do you know how many innings Capps has pitched already? I do, its 32.1. Do you know how many innings Clippard has pitched? I do, its 44.2 innings. The most Clipp has ever pitched in a season is 60. This season isn't so much as half over yet and he's already two thirds of the way there! Cut the guys some slack Riggs and pitch them only when they have a chance to actually "Clipp and Save".
