Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Jake Fox scored the winning run on a Cristian Guzman throwing error in the bottom of the ninth as Baltimore stormed back from a six-run deficit to stun Washington, 7-6, in the opener of a three-game interleague set.
Scott Moore's two-run pinch-hit home run and Corey Patterson's run-scoring single tied the game in the eighth and made a winner of Alfredo Simon (2-1), who worked a scoreless ninth for the Orioles, who have won back-to-back games for the first time since winning three straight from May 12-14.
Tyler Clippard (8-4) suffered the loss after yielding four runs -- three earned -- on four hits and three walks over just 1 1/3 innings for Washington, which committed four errors in losing their second straight game.
Adam Dunn drove in four runs and Nyjer Morgan collected four hits, scored three times and drove in a run as the Nationals fell to 12-14 in one-run games.
