It's been a rough year for Nyjer Morgan. His batting numbers are down across the board and he's the man behind perhaps the biggest blooper of the year to date. Mike got all giddy when Morgan was involved in a trade rumor earlier this season, but alas, it wasn't to be.
↵Last night, he began to make some inroads to restoring his image. He made an absolutely filthy catch at the wall to prevent a sure-home run last night against the Orioles (which Nationals Enquirer recaps quite well). He was sick with the bat last night, too. 4-5, with 3 runs and a RBI? That's how you bust a slump, my friends.
↵Although one night can't erase all of Morgan's less-than-stellar play this season, it certainly helps.
