Nationals Fall To Orioles 6-5

Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Luke Scott scored the winning run on a wild pitch in the seventh inning as Baltimore overcame an early five-run deficit to down Washington, 6-5, in the middle contest of a three-game interleague set.

Matt Wieters had three hits and drove in two runs, and Adam Jones homered for Baltimore, which matched a season-high with its third straight win. The Orioles also rallied from a six-run hole to win Friday's series opener.

Jason Berken (1-1) grabbed the win with 1 1/3 scoreless innings as four relievers combined to throw five shutout frames for the Orioles, who improved to 6-11 in interleague play. Alfredo Simon closed the door in the ninth inning by retiring the side in order to earn his eighth save.

Sean Burnett (0-4) took the loss after allowing the decisive run on one hit and a walk in two thirds of an inning for the slumping Nationals, who have dropped three in a row and nine out of their last 11.
