This blog post by Michael Lee is mostly about Andray Blatche, but tucked away in it was a quote from General Manager Ernie Grunfeld about training camp next year.
↵↵↵"We loved Richmond, it was a very good situation, but we are looking at trying to maybe get a little bit closer to our fan base here in the D.C. area and if we can find the right place and the right facility, we might be closer," Grunfeld said last Friday.

The Wizards have held training camp on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth for the past few years, ostensibly as a way to spread out their fanbase a bit. But with the team suffering through some difficult times recently, the emphasis has shifted on fortifying the fanbase in D.C, so It makes too much sense to move the Wizards' training camp back home. Kudos to the Wizards for doing it.
↵The venue that would make the most sense is the Patriot Center out in Fairfax. It's not downtown D.C., but it's close enough. Plus, Ted Leonsis' ownership group, Monumental Sports and Entertainment, owns the place. I'll go ahead and call it a lock right now.
