Everything you need to know about D.C. Sports in one place.
This is just a quick thought, but it's one that has to be said in some way.
We're all pissed about the Nationals' play recently, especially with what happened last night. The instinct to trade away all our veterans, like Adam Dunn, Josh Willingham and others, for literally anything is strong. But we also have to be careful here. Not getting value for some of these guys would be a huge mistake.
What is value? Here's where I have to defer to people smarter about baseball than me. But we can't just trade these guys away for nothing because they may not be a part of "THE FUTURE." We have to try to extract value from other teams when making these moves, so that our team's future is actually enhanced.
