A report by Pro Football Talk has been confirmed by the Washington Redskins team sources, according to CSN's Kelli Johnson:
Confirmed thru team source:Redskins are interested in WR Vincent Jackson; trying 2 work money & trade value out; likely won't happen though
Jackson posted career highs in receptions (68), yards (1167), and touchdowns (9) last season in 15 games for the San Diego Chargers.
He has yet to sign his restricted free agency tender with the Chargers and, according to the PFT report, is asking for more money than the four-year $47.5 million contract that Brandon Marshall received from the Broncos.
Trading for Jackson would considerably strengthen the Redskins receiving corps, which lacks both depth and a go-to top receiver.
We will update this stream as more details emerge.
