Look, It's Donyell Marshall!

If you're like me, every time you hear the name Donyell Marshall you get a little giddy because you start thinking back to your Charlotte Bobcats franchise in NBA Live 2005, and how unbelievable he was from the three point line in the postseason, after you traded Jason Kapono for him at the trade deadline. What, you're not like me?

It doesn't matter, because you'll be creating your own fond Donyell Marshall memories soon enough.

According to The GW Hatchet, Marshall has been named a George Washington University assistant basketball coach. But Marshall went to Connecticut; what an odd landing spot for a coaching gig, right? Not really, as it turns out.

Hobbs, who was an assistant coach at Connecticut during Marshall’s time as a player there, said that their personal relationship was a major factor in his decision to bring the former NBA top-five draft-pick to Foggy Bottom.

“I’ve coached him, so I’ve known him for quite some time,” Hobbs said. “Because of that, there is a family connection there.”
