It's still unclear where Greg Monroe will go in the draft, but if this news is any indication, the Sacramento Kings might be strongly considering him with their number five pick. According to Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee (per Casual Hoya), Monroe will come in for a private workout with the Kings on Sunday.
Monroe will be the first player of the offseason to work out individually for the Kings and could be selected with their first-round pick, fifth overall.
The Kings will be bringing a group of players - including Patrick Patterson, Cole Aldrich, Ekpe Udoh and Hassan Whiteside - in for a group workout on Tuesday, but it's interesting that they're looking at Monroe individually. GM Geoff Petrie has historically opted for skilled players over athletic ones, so Monroe could very well be in play for him.
Oh, and it's also Monroe's birthday today. As Chris Wright tweeted.
