Half Smokes Hypothetical: What Does John Wall Have To Do To Top Strasburg?

New, 5 comments

Half Smokes Hypothetical is a daily discussion where we throw out a D.C. sports-related question based on the news of the day. It's a hypothetical discussion, which is what makes it fun (we hope).

With Stephen Strasburg's debut now in the books, we now will turn our attention to the future debut of another highly touted rookie, John Wall. Calendars are marked for late October, when Wall will more than likely play in his first regular-season game for the Wizards after they make him the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft.

Topping Strasburg in his debut will be a pretty tall order for Wall, to be sure. But for the sake of this discussion, let's say it is possible for him to generate as much buzz as Strasburg did last night. Here's the question:

What would John Wall have to do in his first regular-season game to match the performance Strasburg put on last night? How many points would he have to score? How many highlight plays? How many assists? Etc.
