Half Smokes Highlights: Kirk Hinrich Wasn't Always A Wizards Fan

Strictly as a player, I don't think anyone is opposed to having Kirk Hinrich on the Wizards next season. He'll be a good tutor for John Wall, give the Wizards some extra depth in the backcourt and provide some much-needed defensive skill. Though his salary is a little high for someone with his skills, I still like Hinrich strictly from a personnel standpoint.

What really impresses me is that he's willing to come to Washington after one incident a few years back that's worth showing one more time:

Would you want to join a team that once had a player use you as an obstacle to keep your teammate from scoring during a preseason game? Yeah, that's what I thought. The ability to forgive and forget is an underrated skill in the NBA, and on a team with Gilbert Arenas on it, his example will guide the way for everyone else.
