Matt Capps made his appearance in the MLB All-Star Game in the bottom of the 6th inning. He struck out the only batter he faced, David Ortiz, in last at bat of the inning.
↵At the time, the National League team was down 1-0. In the very next inning, the National League scored 3 runs. So what, right?
↵Well, here's where i'm getting at. If that 3-1 lead holds up, our own Matt Capps of the Washington Nationals will get the win for the National League All-Star Team. He was the last pitcher throwing before the team took the lead. He's the pitcher of record.
↵How sweet is that? Good luck Capps! All of Natstown is rooting for you.
↵H/T to our own Chris Needham for bringing this to my attention.
↵(UPDATE: The lead held up! He got the win!)
