Tonight's recommended viewing options (all times EDT):
First, a heads-up: tonight is one of two nights in the entire calendar year where none of the four major sports have a live event scheduled. So this is going to be pretty quick.
All sports
9:00 p.m. - ESPY Awards, ESPN. John Wall won't be attending, and I won't be watching. But if you want something slightly resembling live sports, this is probably your best option.
Basketball
4:00 p.m. - NBA Summer League, NBATV. Now this, I'll be watching, though you have to get NBATV to tune in. Tonight's action includes former Wizard Alonzo Gee and his San Antonio Spurs taking on the Atlanta Hawks at 6:30. Here's the full slate.
Baseball
7:00 p.m. - Pirates vs. Nationals, MASN. Relive Stephen Strasburg's amazing debut over again. If you missed it the first time, he strikes a lot of people out.
College football
9:00 p.m. - Virginia Football: The Rebuilding of a program, CSN. I guess this is Virginia's answer to Terrapins Rising.
Movie
8:00 p.m. - The Departed, FX. They all die in LA LA LA LA WHY'D YOU GIVE THE MOVIE AWAY!
