Steven Souza Can't Play For The Nationals, But He Can Dance

Steven Souza, a shortstop who plays for the Nationals' Single-A Hagerstown Suns affiliate, was recently banned 50 games for taking methyphenidate and ritalinic acid, which are both active ingredients in ADHD medication. Some might wonder if Souza took the drug to improve upon his measly .231 batting average. I know better. It is obvious that Souza took the controlled focus so that he could compete at the highest level in the video show below:

Yes, that's Souza competing in a breakdancing competition against the Hagerstown Suns' mascot Woolie in 2009. I think Souza takes the technical aspects, but Woolie wins out for sheer panache. Obviously, this brutal loss led Souza down the path to PED abuse. It's tragic.

Oh and bonus points to the unnamed young National standing near the baseball toss booth in the back who just looks confused. He knows the true folly in competing against Woolie.
