Nationals Lose 2-0

Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Ronny Paulino hit a two-run single in the bottom of the second inning, and the Florida Marlins posted a 2-0 victory over Washington in the second test of a three-game series at Sun Life Stadium.

Florida starter Josh Johnson (10-3) gave up seven hits and struck out seven over six innings. The right-hander lowered his earned run average to an MLB- best 1.62 while improving to 7-0 lifetime in 14 career games (13 starts) against the Nationals.

Paulino's single was among the four hits yielded by former Marlins ace Livan Hernandez (6-6) in his six innings of work.
